From the President...

Greetings everyone!

I hope all everyone is having a wonderful fall! We are excited to launch into another year, filled with excellent programming. As there are many challenges we currently face as a country, our committment to one another and to Wellesley is more important than ever. I look forward to opportunities over the next year to engage in dialgoue and to embrace companionship.

My husband and I moved to the Bay Area four years ago from New York City. One of the first pieces of mail I received was an invitation to the Wellesley Club of Silicon Valley Annual Holiday Tea.  New to the area and anxious to get involved with other Wellsley women, I immediately began to attend club events and have spent the last year serving as the Club President. Outside of my role on the board, I work for an education technology startup located in San Mateo, Goalbook. As a lead on our Partnership Success team, I work with school districts across the country to support them in providing access to high levels of learning for all students. In addition to my role on the Wellesley Club of Silicon Valley Board, I was recently elected to the San Mateo-Foster City School Board where I look forward to continuing to give back to the students and families in my local community. In my free time, I love exploring the Bay Area (particularly the many wonderful restaurants) and you'll often find me in a local Zumba or yoga class.

This is an exciting year for the board as we continue our mometum with new and exciting programming, and as we continue to welcome many new members to the Silicon Valley Community and to our board. If you are interested in participating in the Wellesley Club of Silicon Valley Board, please reach out to me directly - we are always looking for wonderful new ideas and additional Wellesley Women to become lend their wonderful skills, resources, and ideas to our board.

We have a wonderful year ahead of us, filled with a variety of events and ways to engage with the fabulous Wellesley Women of Silicon Valley. Our fall will be filled with prospective student events, interviews, and college fairs. We will close out this calendar year with our Annual Holiday Tea and then kick off 2017 with a the launch of our biggest new intiative, Circle Gatherings. This program will launch in January and we couldn't be more excited for the mentorship and companionship that will arise from this incredible opportunity.

Please don't hesitate to reach out through the year with any questions, concerns, or suggestions. I look forward to hearing from you and to meeting many of you throughout the year.

All the best,
